There are a lot of things to be thankful for with the advent of new technology such as the internet. Today, we do not ever have to leave the house to buy groceries, shoes, flowers, or clothes. We do not need to buy cook books to find that one recipe, because a dozen and one recipes of any particular dish on the internet are available. We never have to call our friends and family from distant places; because we can now do that through instant messaging and conferencing sites and applications for free. We do not have to forget about our long lost friends, because they are always online in social networking site; and we will always keep contact with them. But the internet has one function that most people sneer at or tend to over look: the function of match making.
Everybody knows that the internet is a vast channel that encompasses all the continents in this world. The internet holds an almost limitless possibility of people who are willing to go out on dates. Without the internet, you may not be able to see as many prospect dates because; well, nobody walks around town with a sign that says “I’m single…will date anybody with long blonde hair, a job, and no kids”. Real life dating is just not as easy as cheap online dating.
Imagine creating a profile on an online dating website as compared to actually going around in bars and clubs to look for dates. With an online dating site, you know that all the prospects in the room are single; their profiles also tell you what the person looks for in a relationship or partner. Thus, guessing games and awkward conversations may be avoided. Obviously, this is not the case in real life.
Another positive note to cheap online dating is that it costs virtually nothing. And since the cost of actual dating is sky rocketing, this is a very good thing. Plus, you do not have to dress up if you do not feel like (although some people swear it puts you in the mood and makes you feel more flirty and confident while talking online); and you do not have to endure hours and hours of senseless conversation in case your date turns out to be a dud.
All in all, cheap online dating is a breeze that every singleton must try at least once in their lives.
